My Education: I am formally educated with degrees in Plant Science.
I hold a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Ornamental Horticulture and an Associates in Applied Sciences Degree
in Nursery Management. While in college I enjoyed industry specific hands on coursework such as
Arboriculture, Horticulture, Botany, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Plant Pathology,
Landscape Design, Soil Science, Environmental Studies, Water Resources, Plant Propagation,
Human Resource Management, Small Business Management, and more.
My Experience: I also have years of experience in a variety of fields, including within the green industry
specializing in supporting arborist level tree care. I spent time as an Environmental Protection Assistant to the lead
Agronomist at the US Military Academy and Garrison at West Point, NY. While in that role I
actively supported the department with in field research projects focusing on Dutch Elm Disease,
Emerald Ash Borer, Hybrid Options for Anthracnose Resistance (mainly London Plane Tree cultivation), and more.
In the private sector I worked in the front office for Wickes Arborists in Spring Valley, NY, a noteable family owned and operated consulting arborist company founded in 1929. I supported the busy schedule of the consulting arborists,
the daily jobs of the field crews, and assisted in organizing emergency response with efficiency and a smile.
Even when jobs got tough or the crew faced serious obstacles, I was there ready to keep them focused and moving forward.
What I do now: I don’t simply take tasks off your plate; I build systems so your business runs smoothly without you.
